IDSOG 2025 Nominations
The Infectious Diseases Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology (IDSOG) is pleased to announce two opportunities for engagement and recognition within the Society. We invite members to participate by nominating deserving colleagues for the Distinguished Career Award or submitting themselves for leadership roles on the IDSOG Council.
Distinguished Career Award Nominations
IDSOG is accepting nominations for the Distinguished Career Award, which honors a member with a long and exceptional career at the intersection of gynecology, obstetrics, and infectious diseases. This annual award celebrates outstanding contributions to advancing the health of women and people assigned female sex at birth.
Eligibility and Submission Guidelines:
Nominee must not be a current member of the IDSOG Executive Board or Council
Nominations must include:
The nominee’s CV
A concise nomination letter (maximum one page; co-signed letters permitted)
If the nominee is not selected this cycle, the nomination will be considered again the following year
Nomination Deadline: Friday, May 23, 2025
Past Recipients Include:
- 2019 – Deborah Money, CM, BSc, MD, FRCSC, FCAHS
- 2016 – David Soper, MD
- 2012 – Heather Watts, MD
Call for Nominations: IDSOG Council Positions
IDSOG is seeking nominations for the following Council positions:
Treasurer (One-year term; expected progression to Secretary, President-elect, and President)
Council Members (Three-year term)
These roles are critical to advancing IDSOG’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. Council and Executive Committee members are expected to actively participate in meetings and committee work, including:
Bi-monthly Executive Committee meetings (via Zoom)
Quarterly Council meetings (via Zoom)
In-person attendance at the IDSOG Annual Meeting
Nomination Deadline: Sunday, May 26, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CT
