Membership Demographic

There are currently over 120 members of IDSOG from the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Israel. The membership is well represented by academic senior faculty and research scientists. Nearly one-half of the members in academic medicine hold the rank of Professor, Chair or Vice-Chair. Research scientists include members from prestigious government agencies and private industry.

IDSOG members fill important leadership positions at local, regional, and national levels.

Through their advocacy for women’s health, the Society has led the field in publishing important position papers that influence the national standard of care, including:

  • Management of Genital HSV Infection During Pregnancy;
  • Prevention of Neonatal Infection with Group B Streptococcus;
  • Women’s Immunization Practices;
  • Treatment of Genital Infections to Prevent Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes; and,
  • Management of HIV in Pregnancy.

Membership Categories

The IDSOG has two membership categories; Member and Member-in-Training.

Member

Dues $250
  • Any clinician or scientist who is a member or an associate of an organization related to women’s health or infectious diseases in women;
  • has an interest in infectious diseases related to women by demonstrating a substantial clinical or laboratory practice in this field, or academic presentations or writings within this field;
  • Continuing identification with the field of infectious disease of women;
  • Active participation in two (2) or more annual meetings, or presented original work at the annual meeting.

Member-In-Training

Dues $100
  • Expressed interested in obstetrics and gynecology;
  • Has previously attended (1) Annual Meeting.
